WILBUR R. SAMS (Aug. 7, 1905 - Aug. 27, 1967) SIMPSON -- Wilbur Roger Sams, 62, lifetime Simpson resident, died Sunday at his home after a long illness. Mr. Sams was born Aug. 7, 1905. He farmed in the area most of his life. He was a member of the Simpson Baptist Church, Masonic lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include the widow, Hattie; a son, Dean, Wichita; three daughters, Mrs. Janice Lynch, Longmont, Colo., and Mrs. Jean Purcell and Mrs. Shirley Wilson, both of Wichita; a sister, Mrs. Pauline Roiz, Rio Hondo, Tex.; a brother, Oran, Glasco, and 12 grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 am Wednesday at the Simpson Baptist Church, the Rev. Robert Molby officiating. Burial will be in the Glasco cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Cancer fund.
